Analogue and IP recorder range

CCTV Handbook 2014 Surveillance, Products & Solutions

Bosch Security Systems is introducing a new family of DIVAR digital recorders that include support for the latest 960H ultra high-resolution analogue cameras. This latest 960H technology upgrades analogue systems to the highest analogue resolution possible, representing a cost-effective solution when HD image quality is not yet required.

Thanks to the use of the youngest generation of charge-coupled device (CCD) image sensors, 960H cameras provide a resolution of 720 television lines (TVL). With built-in 960H support, DIVAR recorders capture over 30% more horizontal resolution than comparable 760H systems, while their integrated HDMI outputs support large-format flat panel monitors for optimal image display. The new recorders from the DIVAR 3000/5000 family of 4, 8 and 16-channel digital recorders fully support 960H imaging technology and products.

The DIVAR 3000/5000 digital video recorders (DVRs) capture and display images in full 960H resolution at rates of up to 30 frames per second on all channels. They also support recording in QCIF, CIF, 2CIF, and 4CIF resolutions, as well as lower frame rates to reduce storage requirements if needed. Using the latest H.264 video and G.711 audio compression technology, the recorders further reduce bandwidth and storage needs, without compromising the image and audio quality. The DIVAR 3000/5000 DVRs are supplied with a number of preconfigured storage capacities, with additional expansion kits available for increasing storage capacity up to 12 TB, along with an optional DVD burner.

Customers can view the images from any location using the integrated client software, a Web browser, or apps compatible with a range of mobile devices. The set of alarm handling features includes remote notification as well as e-mail and on-screen alerts.

“The DIVAR 3000/5000 recorders complement our extensive portfolio of analogue 960H products,” comments Tom Verest, product manager at Bosch Security Systems. “With these we are able to offer customers an analogue video solution for different application sizes, equally suitable for new installations and for upgrading existing systems.”

IP DIVAR range

Bosch has also launched the new DIVAR IP recorder family consisting of all-in-one video management systems as well as storage solutions. The DIVAR IP all-in-one solutions combine a network recorder, storage array, client workstation and integrated software.

All DIVAR IP recorders enable recording, viewing, and export of high definition and standard definition resolutions, while streams are displayed in 16:9 and 4:3 aspect ratios simultaneously. The recorded videos can be viewed and managed, depending on the model, using a remote operating client, and integrated operating client or a built-in Web application.

Instant access to HD video scenes from anywhere is possible thanks to Bosch’s Dynamic Transcoding Technology. This technology enables high-resolution live video streaming and playback even over limited bandwidth connections, adapting the image quality to the available bandwidth. This applies for example for 3G areas with limited reception as well as WiFi connections with constantly changing throughput. The Bosch Video Security app allows HD video to be viewed on an iPad/iPhone from any location.

The DIVAR IP 3000/7000 recorders are equipped with Bosch’s Video Management Software and offer advanced alarm processing to ensure that the most critical events are identified and managed. They also feature fully integrated support for Forensic Search, which allows operators to quickly find a particular event among hours of recorded material. Once the desired object has been found, Instant Detail Enhancement immediately displays the paused image in full HD quality.

The new DIVAR IP family is scalable so as to meet the requirements of different application sizes. For example, the DIVAR IP 3000 supports up to 32 channels with up to 8 TB of storage, making it ideal for smaller and medium sized installations, such as retail, education, banking and similar applications. The DIVAR IP 7000 comes pre-licensed for 32 channels, and can be easily expanded up to 128 channels in line with growing needs. Its internal storage supports up to 16 TB of recorded video. To increase the storage capacity, the new DIVAR IP 2000 and DIVAR IP 6000 storage devices can be added to all the models in the DIVAR IP family.

Finally, all four of the new DIVAR IP recorders are ONVIF-compliant and thus integrate seamlessly with a wide range of security software and hardware solutions from Bosch.
