TVT covers the best of all worlds

1 May 2017 Surveillance

Established in 2004, TVT focuses on being a total surveillance solution developer and manufacturer. This means it offers complete solutions to clients and is focused on making the installation and management of its products as simple as possible, yet still providing a secure system clients can rely on.

To meet its goals, TVT therefore devotes considerable resources to research and development. The company today manufactures a range of products from DVRs and NVRs, mobile recorders and hybrid DVR/NVR solutions.

On the camera front it produces IP as well as analogue cameras, including the latest high-definition analogue (HD analogue) devices. Instead of standardising on one particular HD analogue format, TVT offers the two leading HD analogue formats on the market: HD TVI and AHD.

The company’s surveillance solutions are supported by a number of peripherals, also manufactured by the company, including monitors, servers and encoders, as well as its own range of software applications.

Video management options

For mobile access to its live or recorded video, the company offers two mobile apps, Superlive Pro and Superlive HD – targeted at smartphones and tablets. These apps are available with various functions, from video playback and PTZ control, through to remote recording, playback and configuration capabilities, and more.

On the video management platform front, TVT also has two offerings. The NVMS-1000 is a central management platform designed for use on NVRs or DVRs, and also video encoders. It can be used to centrally manage your surveillance installation with ease. Some of its basic functions include live preview, dwell preview, system record, playback and download, e-map, device management, user management, log search, alarm management and more.

The NVMS-1000 can configure devices locally and remotely, including setting recording schedules, image settings, alarm outputs etc. It also offers log management out of the box, allowing users to search for information by log type (such as alarm type, operation type etc.).

On the other hand, the NVMS-5000 is an enterprise-level integrated security management platform that offers the same functionality as the NVMS-1000, as well as much more. It can manage up to 300 000 monitoring points. Of its many functions, it supports centralised management, encryption, a distributed architecture, professional storage arrays, video walls and, of course, a range of mobile clients.

TVT’s NVMS is able to work on various networks, including mobile networks. It takes isolated monitoring points and connects the devices seamlessly to realise unified cross-area monitoring and management.

Camera options

When it comes to choosing a TVT camera, there are endless options for the client’s specific requirements.

In the AHD (HD analogue) range, the company offers 4 MP bullet cameras with built-in IR, as well as similarly capable dome cameras. It also provides a similar range of 2 MP bullets and domes, with IR. In the HD-TVI range, TVT again offers 4 MP and 2 MP bullets and domes, with IR built in.

On the IP camera front, TVT sports a broad range of devices, from 2 MP IR bullet and dome cameras through to 8MP IP cameras of the same types. The cameras are equipped with a variety of capabilities, from built-in IR to being waterproof. The company also offers the latest compression technology on some cameras, H.265, which enables greater storage and bandwidth savings of up to 50% than H.264.

TVT’s goal is to create customer value in the more than 120 countries its solutions are available in. Its variety of integrated products and technologies attest to this and the brand is now represented in South Africa by Forbatt SA, the company responsible for launching other global surveillance brands in the country, such as Sunell and Kedacom.
