Video door entry kits

Legrand’s video door entry and surveillance kits - with multiple functions, including clear images and good sound quality – is a modular, easy to install system, for total security.

“As crime increases, well designed security systems for controlled access are critical,” states Johan Bosch, Legrand’s general manager. “Identifying people at the door and being able to speak to them before allowing them admission to the building is now an affordable facility that should be considered a necessity, rather than a luxury.”

These touch-screen and hands-free video door kits encompass all components required for the installation – a highly resistant street panel and a choice of three different internal video units, with plug-in power connectors. The flexible design of these units, with two wires, allows easy refurbishment of existing systems. For example, a doorbell can be transformed into a full video door entry system.

Wall-mounted weatherproof metal street panels and a rain shield as standard, are enhanced by a 95 wide angle colour camera and a customisable backlit nametag for one or two family homes. It is also possible to connect one additional Legrand security camera with the street panel. By simply pressing the internal unit button, the user can switch from the streel panel view to the camera view. Security cameras are suitable for indoor and outdoor use.

Other features include a gate/door lock release key, an intercom function and an expansion facility for up to two additional internal units to be able to control the home from every floor. It is easy to add other features to the installation. Also available in the kit packs are clock screen savers, MP3 melody and digital photo frames, a visitor face capture, an answering machine and light switches. These features are only available in the 7-inch and 10-inch touch screens.
