As Business Against Crime Western Cape (BACWC) continues its commitment to fight crime in Cape Town, with the support of all three tiers of government, it has finalised its strategic plan focusing on the next three years to 2018, taking into account the forthcoming municipal elections as well as the run up to the 2019 national elections.
The plan makes provision for various new initiatives as well as expanding our efforts deeper into the province.
BACWC is therefore hosting a breakfast to share its plans with the business community, as well as to ask for input and advice. Also present will be the South African Police Service, the National Prosecuting Authority and the Provincial Department of Community Safety.
Brand Pretorius, the former CEO of McCarthy Holdings and director of Business Against Crime South Africa, will be the keynote speaker at this breakfast, sharing his views on the various challenges business people will face over the next three to five years.
There will also be a brief presentation on the almost R2 billion development taking place on the vacant stand next to Naspers on Adderley Street, accommodating the CTICC WEST Expansion and the new Christiaan Barnard Hospital, both opening early in 2017.
