FBI certified live scanner

New compact FBI PIV certified live scanner with live finger detection from neaMetrics.

Suprema has announced the introduction of RealScan-G1. This compact fingerprint live scanner with FBI PIV certification and live finger detection is aimed at government and commercial applications including national ID, immigration, healthcare, e-commerce and banking.

Suprema’s hybrid-type live finger detection (LFD) technology is based on the fact that dynamic image characteristics of fake fingers can clearly be distinguished from those of live fingers using an advanced analysis algorithm to catch the abnormalities in the dynamic changing pattern of fingerprint images and static features such as ridge patterns and local intensity distribution.

On the hardware side, RealScan-G1 features an IP54 certified rugged structure that provides durability under harsh conditions, captures 500 dpi greyscale images and has a wide platen (1,0 x 1,0 inch) for easier capturing. It has a USB 2.0 interface for its power supply and data transfer. Weighing only 0,18 kg, RealScan-G1 is compactly sized to fit into kiosks and mobile kits.
