Triton curved glass turnstile

April 2010 Access Control & Identity Management

Turnstar Systems has added a new product to its Triton full height glass turnstile range.

The Triton turnstile is a prestige high security turnstile solution and is used to secure entrances of prestige office blocks, public buildings and residential buildings.

The unique design feature of the curved Triton turnstile is the curved glass frame that provides an elegant and attractive look and feel to any entrance. The older Triton model is an octagonal unit with a geometric eight sided frame design.

The turnstile frame incorporates toughened curved glass as well as three toughened glass wings. All glass is fixed using a registered clamping system for extra rigidity and strength. The turnstile is bi-directional and each glass wing is fitted with two 32 mm diameter vertical stainless steel handles. The framework can be manufactured from either RAL powder coated mild steel or 304 grade brushed stainless steel.

One of the high security features of the Triton turnstile is the no-access pressure mat. The pressure mat prevents pedestrians from entering or exiting the turnstile from the unauthorised direction. The pressure mat is connected to an alarm that automatically deactivates the turnstile. The alarm can then be reset by the security guard or receptionist.

All Turnstar turnstiles, including the Triton range are covered by a 5-year guarantee. The Triton is also available with bullet resistant glass and also in a rotating door configuration with brushes.
