High-speed PTZ dome with 20 times optical zoom

November 2011 Products & Solutions, Surveillance

The DDZ4020 DOMERA is a high-speed PTZ network dome camera that provides full HD video in real time (up to 1080p/30). It is equipped with the Dallmeier Cam_inPIX technology and features a high dynamic range (WDR – Wide Dynamic Range) which enables an optimal rendition of colour and detail even with scenes that have a high range of contrast and strong back lighting.

A highlight of the DDZ4020 is its 20 times optical zoom, which is complemented by a 12 times digital zoom. The high zoom factor allows for the easy and discreet surveillance even of faraway objects. Relevant applications include large areas such as parking spaces of shopping centres or extensive company premises.

Owing to the integrated ICR function the Dallmeier IP camera is suitable for both day and night operation. It is equipped with an auto focus with manual correction. The DDZ4020 has a high-performance pan/tilt/zoom mechanism. A total of 248 preset positions and 18 scans can be programmed, as well as an additional 16 tours. Particularly useful in that regard are the adjustable alarm actions with contact closure: If a certain contact is closed ie, triggered, for example by opening an entrance door, the camera automatically moves to the programmed preset position of the relevant scene.

Additionally, the camera features the integrated Privacy Zone Masking function. Privacy Zones are protected zones, that is, designated areas of an image which are covered by a black field and thus cannot be viewed. Therefore, it is ensured that all legal requirements are adhered to and privacy is protected at all times (eg, through masking of apartment windows or input keyboard at ATMs).

The H.264 compression technology ensures optimal utilisation of storage space and network resources while at the same time providing highest image quality. The DDZ4020 allows for simultaneous dual streaming, whereby the respective formats of the individual streams (eg, video compression format, resolution or bit rate) can be adjusted independently. Voltage supply is provided via PoE+ or at 24/28V AC.

Like all Dallmeier IP cameras the DDZ4020 is ONVIF compliant and DIN EN

50130-4 certified. It is available in three mounting variants (in-ceiling, surface, weather-proof).
