Hikvision Turbo HD 3.0

October 2016 Products & Solutions, Surveillance

Regal Distributors has released Hikvision’s third generation HD-TVI CCTV recorders and cameras to the South African market. HD-TVI 3.0 brings higher video performance, increased compression efficiency, further transmission distances and power over coax technology to analogue CCTV solutions, while maintaining a seamless compatibility with existing analogue solution infrastructure.

Some of the newest and most prominent features of HD-TVI 3.0 are the following:

1080p, 3 MP HD-TVI and 4K video performance

HD-TVI 3.0 retains the ease-of-use of a traditional analogue system while offering high-definition surveillance with camera resolutions of 1080p and 3 megapixels. The new range of HD-TVI DVR’s support a video output up to 4K resolution.

H.264+ technology

The Hikvision H.264+ compression technology improves the encoding efficiency by up to 40% when compared to the standard H.264 compression. This technology assists greatly in the reducing of data storage costs and furthermore dramatically reduces bitrates while maintaining high transmission quality.

Extended transmission distances via coax cable

HD-TVI 3.0 products use standard coaxial infrastructure of existing analogue CCTV solutions but can offer further transmission distances. With the use of high quality coaxial cable distances of up to 1200 m for 720p and 800 m for 1080p can be achieved.

Hikvision’s HD-TVI 3.0 product range includes 3 MP fixed or vari-focal bullet and dome cameras and 8 or 16 channel HD turbo 3.0 DVR
