“We are delighted that our customers in the Middle East are recognising the unique value of CathexisVision,” says Hasan Basri, regional manager, Cathexis Middle East. “We’ve made it our highest priority to try and understand the unique challenges faced by each and every facility, enabling us to design a customised solution that meets their security management needs and optimises operational efficiency requirements.”

The hospitality sector in the region has very demanding requirements, including complete, fast and seamless failover redundancy of all recording and viewing servers. If any recording server fails, the system should automatically switch across to failover mode and the recording and control room live viewing should continue as normal.

All CCTV solutions for hotels in the region have to be approved by the authorities who complete inspections and tests of the systems that are installed. Presently only a handful of video management solutions have been approved.

The CathexisVision software efficiency enables our customers to accommodate many cameras on the recording servers. “In one of the installations, we have 156 cameras running on a single recording server,” says Basri. “The high storage demanded by the 120 days recording time and continuous recording created the need for a server/network storage architecture, to which the CathexisVision software solution is ideally suited.”

It’s the feature-rich capabilities of CathexisVision, combined with integration capability and flexibility, which have made CathexisVision the ideal IP video management software suite for the hospitality sector and other environments, providing true value across business operations.

“Cathexis has repeatedly demonstrated how the intelligent use of surveillance solutions, including intelligent video analytics, and integration of third-party systems, can maximise companies return on investment,” says Gus Brecher, managing director of Cathexis Africa and group marketing director of Cathexis Technologies. “Cathexis prides itself on being responsive to customer needs, offering exceptional support,
